MY STUDY LIFE IN RENMIN UNIVERSITY

In 2005, I was luckily admitted into the School of Education & Training, Renmin University of China. Through learning here for one year, I have made much progress both in study and life. The following is the description of my study life.

 

Every lesson was taught in English, which had been taught in Chinese for most of time during last few years and was a great challenge for us all now. However, as an old saying goes: It is the first step that costs. It did trouble me at first, but as time went by I was gradually accustomed to it. Meanwhile, my integrated English were improved a lot ,of which my oral and aural comprehension were the most directly affected aspect .Our oral English teacher is a foreigner ,who is full of energy and so humorous, and we could talk everything with each other friendly. I speak in English more bravely than before and make much progress in it.   

 

The teaching pace was fast and the study task was hard, which demand that we should make good and full use of our study time. At the same time we had very easy access to the library and computers, which offered us new sources of information. In this way, I have not only improved my performance of study, but also I have become skilful to take advantage of the information technology to search for whatever I need.

 

Our teachers would always divide us into small groups and let us to discuss a certain topic. After the discussion, we were asked to collect the information, which was needed in the preparation of the reports, and then to give a presentation to all in class. During the preparation, we totally understood the spirit and the essence of teamwork. This was not only instrumental in our present assignments, but also in our future work. Besides, it improved our ability to co-operate and communicate with others in harmony. In addition, we have gained the ability to solve problems.

 

During the first year in the university, I was surrounded by new circumstances and I had to deal with various difficulties in both life and study by myself. It taught me how to be familiar with a new situation, and how to get next to strangers very quickly, and how to deal problems by myself.
